Transport yourself to the pintos and tapas bars of San Sebastian and the Basque Country and create some delicious favourites from the region. This class is always super popular as it showcases a number of great dishes that you can make at home over and over again.
What you will make (may change according to market availability of ingredients)
Glidas – white anchovy, olive and pickled pepper skewer
Croquetas de bacalao
Morcilla and pine nut stuffed piquillo peppers
Chorizo, chickpeas and clams
are small (a max of 10 people) and very hands on. You get to use some of the finest ingredients, many of which are found in our award winning downstairs deli. Cookery classes are fun and have an easy going atmosphere. They are suitable for cooks and novices alike. Once all the food is created, everyone gets the chance to enjoy their creations with a glass of wine and also take some home to share.

The chef teacher
Alexis John is a chef of many years’ experience and one of the finest in the South West. She is a superb chef and enormously artistic as well as being warm, fun and approachable. People rave about her brilliant classes!
Where do I come?
84 Alma Rd, Clifton BS8 2DJ. Top floor – we will let you in if you come to the bottom door shortly before 6pm. If you are likely to arrive late, please email us in advance so we can arrange from someone to let you in.
What shall I bring?
Nothing – we supply all the ingredients, a glass of wine, apron and a box for you to carry your goodies home!
