Fish! Learn all about preparing fish and seafood and creating mouthwatering dishes that you can create at home and impress everyone! What lovelier thing to do that spend an evening exploring, learning about, cooking and eating delicious fish dishes.
The teacher: Simon MacDonnell, aka “Papa” absolutely loves food (can’t you just tell this from the deli?!) and still adores cooking after so many years doing it for a job! His enthusiasm is absolutely contagious! Classes are fun and informative.
Our cookery school, on the top floor above our deli, is a professional kitchen where our chefs create all the homemade dishes in the deli and for catering events counter during the day – from takeaway dishes, frozen meals and amazing cakes. In the evening, it’s a beautiful and perfect space for learning how to make all these dishes and taste some new flavours. If you ask nicely, Simon might give you a private tour of the deli…
What you will make:
Ceviche with sea bream and citrus salad
Clams steamed in white wine and salsa verde
Scallops with Treviso salad and Bagna Cauda
Stuffed squid with pine nuts, garlic crumbs, raisins and capers and a tomato aioli
Sea Bream en Papillote
(some dishes may vary slightly according to market availability)
Hands on instruction on how to make the dishes. Small groups (max 10 people), the chance to get stuck in and make your own. It’s all very relaxed and friendly.
All ingredients to create the above dishes. A couple of glasses of wine or soft drinks. A sit down meal where you’ll enjoy your creations and a parcel to take home any extras. We’ll share the recipes with you too.
What do I need to bring?
Nothing! Just turn up ten minutes beforehand and we’ll let you in. If you arrive late, please call 07785 328991 and we’ll come down and open the door.
