A Carpathian Journey – raising money for Ukraine
It’s so hard to know what to do or how to help with what is going on in Ukraine, so we’ve decided to dedicate this class to raise money.
You can book a place and profit will go to Hope and Aid Direct
or buy a raffle ticket and you could win a place. The raffle has an amazing selection of foodie prizes and it’s run by Bristol Cooks for Ukraine. All proceeds will be donated to Unicef. Read more about it and buy a ticket here.
We send out new classes and alerts about spaces to our mailing list – please join here.
Wednesday May 18th 6-9pm
This culinary journey takes us to Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine, where there is a strong spirit of community and generosity and the delicious flavours of a rich and varied food culture. Once tried and tasted, you’ll want to go home and cook again and again to share with loved ones!
The teacher: Papadeli chef Marcin Lawrentowicz who will share a fascinating knowledge of food and his home country of Poland. He is joined by Papa (Simon MacDonnell). Classes are great fun, relaxed and informative.
Our cookery school, on the top floor above our deli, is a professional kitchen where our chefs create all the homemade dishes in the deli and for catering events counter during the day – from takeaway dishes, frozen meals and amazing cakes. In the evening, it’s a beautiful and perfect space for learning how to make all these dishes and taste some new flavours. If you ask nicely, Simon might give you a private tour of the deli…
