Just what is needed to kick off the new year in style! Sample fabulous artisan foods and learn to create Andalucian inspired dishes that you’ll want to make again and again. This part of Southern Spain is so warm and welcoming and the ingredients are unbeatable.  A gorgeous evening of eating and learning.

What you will make:

Tortilla with aioli
Pan con tomate with Serrano
Gordal Gildas
Manchego and quince paste
Anchovies on toast
Leeks and rainbow carrots with romesco
Aubergine with pomegranate molasses and Montenebro
Red peppers and blood orange
Escalivada
Hake with Mojo Verde
Salt cod with red peppers, tomatoes, olives and orange
Pinchos Morunos
Prawns with chorizo and tomatoes
Squid, lemon, chilli and olives

Teachers: Kirstie Urquhart is a superb chef who worked for many years with us at Papadeli before setting up as a personal chef.  She is wonderfully inventive and knowledgeable and creates absolutely gorgeous food.

Simon MacDonnell, aka Papa, is co-founder of Papadeli and is still mad about good food over 20 years later! He knows SO much about food, as you can imagine and loves sharing.

All chefs are brilliantly knowledgeable and super friendly, so you’ll have a lovely time watching and learning before getting stuck in with some fabulous ingredients. then you get to eat what you’ve made and take lots home to share! Classes are fun and informative and we share the recipes with you to keep.

The Cookery School

Our cookery school, on the top floor above our deli, is a professional kitchen where our chefs create all the delights in the deli and superb food for catering events during the day – from canapés, buffets,  takeaway dishes, frozen meals and amazing cakes. In the evening, it’s a beautiful and perfect space for learning how to make all these dishes and taste some new flavours. If you ask nicely, Simon might give you a private tour of the deli…

What you’ll need

Just you! Bring an apron if you like (we do supply aprons too) and containers to take your food home, to save on disposables. Please arrive 5 or 10 minutes early to 84 Alma Road, BS8 2DJ and we’ll take you upstairs.  If you are late, please try to let us know in advance, if not possible, call 07785 328991.
