We heard today that we are one of 3 runners up in the West in the Observer Food Monthly Awards . The Observer Food Monthly has been running the Awards for a number of years now and we are so pleased to have been awarded both Independent Retailer for the deli and Best cheap eats for our cafe this year. This is the third time for us to be voted by readers in these categories. Working in the world of food is extremely hard and pretty competitive so it always helps to receive this sort of recognition.
We know that it is down to our great staff and are extremely grateful to them and all their hard work.
The awards have really put Bristol on the map again, with so many places being awarded runner up eg Bell’s Diner, Primrose cafe, Friska amongs others and Poco winning best ethical restaurant overall. It confirms to us that Bristol is a truly great place to be as someone committed to creating (and eating!) good food.
Next year, we will have been in business for 12 years and recognise that this is no mean feat for a small independent food business. We will continue to work hard to be creative and innovative and serve up good food, with great service.
