Supper evening January 31st – It’s Cassoulet time!

Time to warm up & fill up

Feeling a bit chilly? Dreary, wet weather getting you down?  Then book your place at our Flavours of South West France supper evening.  It’s all about warm, rich flavours and inspiration from French climes.  Anchoiade, tapenade, capers, Cassoulet, duck confit, Toulouse sausage, Tart tatin with bay creme anglaise. You will find the weight on your shoulders and worries of dark mornings melt away and bring hope!!

Crostini with anchoiade, tapenade & basil pistou


Salmon terrine, dill & capers with a shallot, fennel & cucumber salad.


Cassoulet de Toulouse a la Ménagère (lamb shoulder & haricot beans) with duck confit, Toulouse pork sausages & salade de pissenlit.


Salt cod bouillabaisse with potatoes, fennel, crevettes & aioli


Tarte tatin with bay leaf crème anglaise.


South Western French cheese with walnut bread & grapes.


Veggie options too.  Let us know if you are intolerant to any foods, we will make sure we can accommodate you.

Esqueixada: Shredded salt cod, burnt peppers, gordal olives & chopped herbs
Gambas pil pil – Prawns with garlic and chilli

Accompanied by a glass of Anares Rioja.

Seated in our beautiful first floor restaurant space, the atmosphere is cosy and relaxed, you can sit back and enjoy the deliciously creative dishes that are brought to you.  No need to make choices (maybe choose your wine!) – just savour the moment and the food!

Crab arancini with creamy sweet corn + thyme dip

Veggie: Roasted carnival squash aranchini with sweetcorn and thyme veloute.

Sautéed Chanterelles with chilli + wet garlic on rosemary focaccia with shaved aged pecorino + rocket

Slow roasted stuffed shoulder of venison with hazelnut gremolata, creamed beet-tops, oozy polenta and blackberry + juniper sauce

Veggie: Oozy rosemary polenta with Cep, candy beetroot + Chestnut ragout with shaved rosary goats cheese

Torta di mele with orange + mace mascarpone

Gorgonzola dolce with frozen grapes

Great new foodie magazine, Crumbs, has interviewed wonderful Papadeli chef Stefani Smith.

Stefani, who came from Jamie Oliver’s restaurant in Watergate Bay, has been cooking up a wonder at our cafe, giving away her culinary secrets at our cookery school and adding her magic to our party catering.

Stefani’s food is inspired by all things seasonal and organic. She likes the ingredients to speak for themselves, and this is evident when you visit the Papadeli cafe.  Her dishes are imaginative and simply full of seasonality and flavour.

We firmly believe that Papadeli chef Stefani Smith is a rising star – so watch this space for the latest news!
