Papadeli cookery class

A great deal of work and effort goes into each cookery class, from the design and planning beforehand to ensuring all the best ingredients are ready and waiting for when our students arrive! Alexis John, our head cookery tutor is meticulous in her planning and ensures every class is brilliantly enjoyable as well as informative and interesting.

We get lots of wonderful feedback for our classes, and they sell out pretty quickly, often with waiting lists.  We have come up with a new timetable for January to June next year – all look excellent and will be very popular. You can buy online here or purchase cookery class vouchers here.

Papadeli cookery school timetable

Apologies for the delay in getting this timetable together! We have been very busy teaching classes and feeding people for catering events.

Our Autumn/Winter classes filled up very quickly and you have been asking us for the Spring / Summer ones.  Papa has worked hard on getting this new timetable ready for you.

Corporate cookery classes

Food is a great leveller!

Get your hands stuck into some fresh pasta dough or learn how to debone a chicken! Cooking is great fun and everybody loves eating and drinking.  Cookery classes are a great way to get to know your colleagues or clients and puts everyone at their ease immediately.  Throw in a glass of wine or two and you have a winning combination!

We can also arrange food quizzes or make the cooking into a competition if you’re a business with a competitive nature! These classes are also lovely if you’re celebrating something – from a colleague leaving / starting or a team that’s performed well.

Crostini with Radicchio, pancetta and mascarpone, sweet and sour sardines, lamb with anchovies, griddled polenta, chocolate and chestnut tart.

 

Alpine Suppers and Winter Warmers – Thursday January 23rd 2014

La Polee (a traditional French farmhouse soup with bacon, ham hock, sausage and beans), duck confit tartiflette, a winter salad, apple and prune brioche tart.

 

Mediterranean Breads and Sweets – Thursday February 13th 2014

Olive and rosemary focaccia, rough puff pastry, pissaladerie, baci di dama, hazelnut and blood orange tarts, fennel and sunflower seed Brioche.

One of Papa’s favourite seasonal salads – Winter bitter leaf salad xanax with pomegranate, orange, walnuts and Manchego, seafood soup with saffron, spatchcock poussin, celeriac rosti, rhubarb and custard tarts.

Crostini with chicken liver pate, crostini with artichoke pate, foccacia, ravioli di ruccola with goats cheese and garlic, Tuscan seasonal salad, ricciarelli and pears poached in red wine.

Red mullet salad with pastis , aubergine caviar, herb and pork terrine with sweet onion confit, daube de Provence, tarte au citron.

Papadeli Head Chef Stefani will demonstrate European vegetarian cookery with a focus on healthy dishes using sustainable ingredients.

Tamarind, our Pastry chef responsible for  all the gorgeous cakes and treats you see at the deli and at the RWA cafe, will take you through some the Papadeli favourites from truffles, brownies, pear and honey cake, madeleines and macarons along with many more wonderful sweets delights. Summer cookery classes at Papadeli Bristol

Cookery classes – suitable for all levels or budding chef / cook.

Small classes so lots of individual attention from professional chefs.  Lovely atmosphere, sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour at the end!

Our cookery school teachers are all professional chefs and will show you all the tools and techniques that make food into a delicious meal. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and we welcome individuals and groups.  Our Cookery Classes are held in our top floor kitchen at Alma Road – it’s bright and sunny and the perfect venue to enjoy getting stuck into some seasonal ingredients and the finest foods from our delicatessen downstairs.
