Papadeli flapjacks made with butter
We can’t decide which we prefer – flapjacks or brownies! They are ever popular on the counter at Papadeli – nothing can, afterall, beat a cappuccino and a delicious flapjack. Full of nuts, seeds and oats, we like to think they’re quite good for us, too!
Flapjacks – Makes 1 extra large tray
440g golden syrup
900g muesli with nuts
400g sultanas/chopped apricots
100g pumpkin seeds / mixed seeds
Melt the butter, sugar and syrup and stir until combined and resembling a thick light caramel.
Pour this over the dry ingredients and stir well to combine.
Bake in a greased and lined tin for 20-25 minutes until just turning golden brown. Allow to cool and cut in tin. No need to refrigerate unless you need it to cool down quickly.
