A taste of Sicily
Feb 20th- 6-9pm
The flavours, the warmth, the variety – spend the evening exploring the food of Sicily. These are all dishes that you can recreate at home for a simple supper of full on ‘impress your friends’ night. Just lovely!
What you will make (can vary according to market availability)
Focaccia with black olive and onion
Arancini – ‘little oranges’ risotto balls stuffed with beef ragu
Chicken with citrus and olives
Caponata- sweet and sour aubergine salad with pine nuts, sultanas & capers
Reginelle – Sesame seed biscuits
are small (a max of 10 people) and very hands on. You get to use some of the finest ingredients, many which are found in our downstairs deli. Cookery classes are fun and have an easy going atmosphere and are suitable for cooks and novices alike.

The chef teacher
Alexis John is a chef of many years’ experience and one of the finest in the South West. She is a superb chef and enormously artistic as well as being warm, fun and approachable. People rave about her brilliant classes!
Where do I come?
84 Alma Rd, Clifton BS8 2DJ. Top floor – we will let you in if you come to the bottom door shortly before 6pm. If you are likely to arrive late, please email us in advance so we can arrange from someone to let you in.
What shall I bring?
Nothing – we supply all the ingredients, a glass of wine, apron and a box for you to carry your goodies home!
